CRAWFORD PUCKETT
3rd President
1976 1978
I joined the Gwinnett Country Retired Teachers at their second meeting in November, 1972. There were
eleven of us joining at that time, almost doubling the original thirteen. I felt very honored that later, in 1976, I was elected
to serve as president. Leona Williams was vice-president, and Kathleen Bolton was secretary-treasurer.
One of the accomplishments during this time was the completion of the Gwinnett
County Retired Teachers Association*s Constitution and Bylaws. Ama
Lou and I enjoyed our contacts with our fellow educators down through the years.
