1980-1982

I served as the fifth president of the Gwinnett County Retired Teachers Association in 1980  - 1982. 1 remember the wonderful officers and committee chairmen who supported my efforts, especially Annie Frances Flanigan, the vice-president and program chairman.

Among the bright memories that I have of that period of our history are the teas and coffees I had at my house for the membership. I remember that once we had the Gwinnett County Board of Education and the County Government officials to attend a coffee so that we could stress the needs of education and retired people.
